Introduction to ViewClix Video Calling

It has been widely reported that video calling can reduce loneliness and improve cognitive function among senior users.  However, many video calling devices and systems are not easily accessible for seniors who may be intimidated or unable to enjoy their benefits.

For seniors who wish to control when they take the call, auto-answer can be  disabled by the Frame Organizer remotely using the ViewClix Member Web Portal.  The same process occurs but this time when the family member is calling, the caller’s name is displayed and the senior will press any button on the ViewClix remote to accept the video call.

Calling Options

For smart phones and tablets, the ViewClix mobile app is available for free download from the Apple and Google Play app stores.

ViewClix calls can also be made using a laptop or desktop PC or Mac through the Member Portal online.

Because the ViewClix frames are wall powered, there’s no worry about charging the frames. Once connected to WiFi, you are able to remotely manage the frame for the senior and they are able to enjoy the video calls, new pictures that have been shared, or a Sticky Note reminder.

Built-In Privacy 

The Sleep Cycle Setting allows the  Frame Organizer to set certain  times that the frame’s screen is turned off and is unavailable for video calls  The senior can also put the frame to sleep by pressing the Sleep Button on the ViewClix remote control.
