Getting Started with ViewClix

ViewClix Smart Frames offer a simple way to stay in touch with seniors and is fun for the whole family! You may have just purchased a frame or are interested in ViewClix and wondering, “where do I start?” Follow these below tips to ensure a fun experience.

1.  Download the PDF of the ViewClix Operating Guide:  A good first step is to read through the ViewClix Operating Guide. This will show you how to set up the frame and how to use each ViewClix feature. Here is a link to download a PDF copy of the Operating Guides: CLICK HERE

2. Login to the online Member Portal (viewclix.com/members) and review the frame's settings. By default, the ViewClix frame will auto-answer video calls and show captions on photos.  But you can easily change those options. Set your Sleep Time cycle to have the frame’s screen automatically turn off and on at set times. The Sleep Times also ensures no video calls at unwanted times. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to manage all of these settings at any time.

3. Add friends and family to the Share List. You can add as many users to the Share List as you like, the more the better! When you add a person to the Share List, our system will automatically send an email to invite them to have a ViewClix account login.  Only users added to the Share List will be able to send photos and make video calls with the frame -- feel free to add and remove users at any time.

4. PHOTOS! Now that you have your settings and Share List set, start adding photos. The Slideshow is fun for the seniors as this allows them to see what is going on in your life. Grandkid photos are always a big hit and do not be surprised when you are asked for more! Take them on a trip down memory lane and add some older photos with captions. This acts as a fun brain game and they can be reminded of their most cherished memories.

5. Need to set up a recurring reminder or would like to send a quick note? Set up a one time Sticky Note or have the same Sticky Note recurr daily, weekly, or monthly. This is an easy way to say, “I love you” or remind them they have an appointment at 4pm.

6. Experience the simplest video calling available. While other video call solutions may be too complicated or intimidating for a senior, ViewClix videos calls easy and stress-free. Because of this they are FUN! Have different friends and family pop in to say hello. Let the grandkids perform a new play or chat about a recent sporting event. Video calling is proven to reduce loneliness and isolation. Staying engaged and connected is one of the best gifts you can give a senior.
